Pancheros Mexican Grill, the rising star of the booming fast-casual restaurant industry, is excited to announce a new restaurant opened in the Dallas metropolitan area earlier this month.

The new location in Irving, a city renowned for its artistic community and just north of Dallas, is the second restaurant to open in the area. In March, Pancheros opened in McKinney, a growing suburb also north of Dallas.

Local media highlights marketplace arrival

As always, when Pancheros opens a new location the local media cannot hold back their excitement. CultureMap-Dallas, a publication that covers restaurants, nightlife, music, culture and more in Dallas, recently published an article titled, “Tex-Mex restaurant obsessed with the perfect burrito opens in Irving,” which celebrates our expansion into the market.

“A [fast-casual Mexican] chain from Iowa continues its resolute colonization of the DFW area: Pancheros Mexican Grill has opened a location in Irving, at 3275 Regent Blvd., in a new center of LBJ Freeway,” the article states.

CultureMap-Dallas also interviewed co-owner Mike Riley, who opened the two locations with partners Jeff Bartunek and Mike Kelvin.

“We’re eager to continue expanding the Pancheros brand and to open the state’s second location in Irving,” Riley says in the article. “If the McKinney opening is any indication of what’s to come for the new Pancheros location in Irving, we certainly have very high expectations and can’t wait to welcome the Irving community into the restaurant.”

Of course, the real reason why the publication is so excited about two new Pancheros locations in the Dallas market is because of our food.

“They have fresh-pressed tortillas and use a unique spatula to tear down the walls that once stood between the meat, rice, beans, and salsas, yielding burritos that are better built,” the article states. “The spatula actually has a name: BOB the Tool, which they say carefully and perfectly mixes the ingredients together. In addition to burritos, Pancheros serves burrito bowls, tacos, quesadillas, and salads. It has also earned popularity for its chips & queso and unique, limited-time offerings.”

The two locations in Dallas are just the beginning for Pancheros in the Lonestar State, as we plan to add multiple locations in Texas in the coming years.
